Shandelle Loregnard
One of the newer additions to The Lost Tribe’s design collective, Shandelle Loregnard made her debut in 2019 for the band’s presentation, Taj.
Shandelle graduated from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design.
After returning home, she started her lifestyle brand Willow + Oak, designing clothing, jewellery, accessories and home goods.
She was invited to submit a design for the band in 2018 and subsequently co-designed the section Yamuna Nadi with The Lost Tribe Creative Director, Valmiki Maharaj.
Shandelle’s formal background in fashion design informs her costume design process – she designs a lot with style lines, thinking about the body and where the eyes will be drawn.
She particularly enjoys layering fabrics, like mesh, to create new textures with her materials.
A common thread that connects all of Shandelle’s costumes to date is an injection of cool, fashion-forward appeal with reusable elements.
