The Coquette is a beautiful colourful bird extravagantly blessed with dramatic feathers, and in French, the word translates to a ‘“colourful attention-grabbing woman”.
Our belle Dame Lorraine comes to mind. Her companion, fittingly, the jaunty, jubilant Fancy Sailor. Like the Dame Lorraine and Fancy Sailor, the Coquette always commands attention with its high-pitched tones and vibrating wings.
