The Lost Tribe
Shari Winchester’s name is synonymous with bold colours, vibrant prints and the audacious combination of the two.
A graphic designer by training, Shari worked briefly at a local advertising agency before she followed her passion and launched her own accessories and apparel line, SHOPSHARI in late 2014.
Shari’s introduction to The Lost Tribe came in year one of the band’s presentation when she was enlisted by Anya-Ayoung Chee to create the accessories for the male costume of Anya’s section Ava.
After the success of the band’s inaugural year, Shari was invited to submit her own design for the second year – the theme was Riddim. Shari designed the costume Djun, complete with neon orange and black and white print kimono that had staying power long beyond Carnival Monday and Tuesday. Kimonos have since become a staple in her SHOPSHARI apparel lineup.
Since then she has designed for every year of The Lost Tribe and is known to bring her distinct sense of personal style and aesthetic to the band’s repertoire.
Next on Shari’s creative checklist is the launch of her personal brand Neoness later in 2022.
