Masquerader Stories

I love playing Mas and for me, my costume must be representative of an interpretation of some theme or concept.

I have always been wowed at how LT designers adapt the theme into their designs and their use of sustainable materials.

Bobbi R.

The designs automatically transported me to the theme of the section.

The costumes are well thought out, very detailed art pieces. My sections felt like a family within a family.

Dwayne M.

I feel transformed every time.

I was once described as looking "regal" by a complete stranger. Was I doing anything outside my usual persona? Absolutely not. Was I embodying my costume? 100%

Shawn P.A.

The design completely immersed me in the theme.

Every detail—from the colors and textures to the craftsmanship and overall presentation—felt intentional and helped bring the story of the section to life. I truly felt like I was part of the experience while on the road.

Korie P.

The theme is always on point!

You can look at the costume and know the chapter in the story it is telling. Ring of Fire in 2026 made me feel like a blue devil goddess in the most Trinibagonian Circus you can be dropped in.

Valissa M.

The costume is always well orchestrated by the designers.

They transport you to a different time and place, you become who you portray.

Rosemarie A.

The design exceeded my expectations and captured the theme beautifully.

Every detail, from the colors to the craftsmanship, made me feel fully immersed in the story the section was telling. It was elegant, unique, and made me feel confident throughout the road experience.

Krystle D.

I embody the theme 100%!

It's not just about the costume for me, I love hearing about how the theme is born, the design process of the designers, the concept and description of each section. All these elements play a big part in me picking each year.

Debra H.

In a LT costume I feel the mas each and every time.

I somehow transform into that particular character. I am not just a girl in a pretty costume, not just a masquerader. In each costume I walk differently, I dance differently, I am each character.
